Len Simard has gained over 30 years experience as a highly regarded Tennis Director and Professional via his association with respected private country clubs throughout North America.
Len is a USPTA Master Professional, a title held by less than 1 percent of tennis insiders. Len has used his extensive experience to head the leading Tennis Search firm in the country; Simard Search LLC. His unique skill set enables him to know exactly what a club is lacking, and what a club is in need of. Len is considered one of the industry’s top club professionals and frequently lectures on many of today’s tough tennis topics. Len also contributes articles to industry circulations and consults regularly with industry leaders.
Simard has experience in all aspects of Country Club Tennis Management including pro shop management, facility promotion and design, HR, programming, team tennis as well as sales maximization. He is an outstanding team motivator, proving his ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Since September 2004, Simard has been the Director of Tennis at Isleworth Country Club in Orlando, Florida. This top 20 Platinum Country Club of America is regarded as one of the premier residential clubs in the Country.
Prior to relocation to Orlando, Len Simard settled in Palm Beach County, Florida where he was the Director of Tennis at Boca Lago Country Club in Boca Raton from 1990 to 2004. Len has also directed the programs at the Wellington East and West Clubs in Wellington, Florida as well as the Bayview Golf and Country Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Since 1998, Simard spends his summer months in New Canaan, Connecticut where he is the Director of Tennis at the New Canaan Field Club. This equity club has over 260 family members and is renowned for its top-flight players, teams and junior program. The New Canaan Field Club is considered the most active summer tennis club in New England.
Len is the Co-Owner of a successful tennis management company named NETRESULTS/All American Tennis LLC. The company has numerous municipal tennis complexes under management including one of the largest facilities in Florida called Tampa Tennis at HCC. Len views these facilities as his way to “give back to the sport of tennis” yet the company has been able to transform these facilities from mass deficit programs to flourishing, active and community enhancing operations.
From 1996-1998, Simard served as President of the United States Professional Tennis Association Florida Division. Florida is home to more than 1,500 USPTA certified professionals. He was also a five-term Vice President from 1991-1995. His Florida Division honors include: Professional of the Year in 1990, 1995 and 2000; Player of the Year in 1992 and 1995 and Facility Manager of the Year in 2001 and 2005.
In addition, Simard has been a national and divisional speaker for USPTA conventions and educational forums. His areas of expertise include career development, club politics, club programming, ladies team tennis, customer service, tournament organization and junior summer camps. Len is a regular contributor to Baselines, the USPTA Florida Division newsletter, as well as Advantage Magazine, Florida Tennis Magazine and other professional publications. Len Simard has a wealth of knowledge to share.
As a player, Simard is a veteran tour competitor on several satellite circuits in Europe and North America. Len has won 16 National Singles and Doubles Championships in the US and Canada and continues to play and represent Canada in International competitions.
In 1982, Simard earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Kent State University. His areas of concentration were coaching, sports psychology and business management. It was here that Len was an All MAC player, team captain and #1 singles and doubles player.
